It’s six months into 2019 and Blizzard is still maintaining its silence about “Warcraft 3: Reforged.” It was initially assumed that the beta version will come out sometime during the spring but those months have come and gone with no word from the developers about their current progress, Buffed reported.
In the meantime, some players who are looking forward to “Warcraft 3: Reforged” have been honing their skills in the unpolished version. According to data released by WarcraftT3Info last year, the best race that is seeing the most win is Undead.
However, a lot has changed since then, especially with the latest 1.31.0 patch. Until now, it’s still a point of contention which race is the strongest, although a lot of people seems to be in agreement that Orc is at the bottom rung of the ladder. “Warcraft 3: Reforged” should look to cater to this race as the recent buff didn’t exactly help it to perform better.
Even with the critical strike buff to Blademaster leaves a lot of room to be desired, especially since the recent changes opens him up to counterattacks. Meanwhile, the matchup between Humans and Undead has been balanced. The former is arguably the better between the two, although in the hands of a talented player, the Undead race can still perform well. “Warcraft 3: Reforged” isn’t expected to bring massive changes into the game as most of the improvement is centered on graphics and lore.
“We’re doing everything we can to honor the original design while we revamp the story, art, sound design, and so much more. Obviously, the [Warcraft 3: Reforged] gameplay will still be identical to the originals,” Blizzard senior producer Pete Stilwell previously said.
Regarding the rumors surrounding the release date of the remaster, nothing concrete has come up as of this writing. Blizzard only said that it’s going to drop sometime this year. But seeing that the beta version hasn’t even been released, it’s looking like “Warcraft 3: Reforged” should be dropping in the tail end of 2019, with a possibility of further delays given the silence surrounding the title.
