Bishop Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) will be haunted in his dreams in “Vikings” season 5 episode 15. Next week’s installment is called “Hell” and that is exactly what Heahmund’s dream is going to look like.
Conveniently, Heahmund gets this kind of horrifying dream moments before the Vikings face the Saxons in another action-packed battle on “Vikings” season 5 episode 15. The official promo video for the next episode has successfully given fans a preview of what “Hell” looks like.
A worried-looking Heahmund comes to Lagertha (Mabel Hurley) to share his dream. “The Lord came to me last night. He showed me a vision -- a vision of hell. And I was afraid,” Heahmund says in the “Vikings” season 5 episode 15 trailer.

That is the cue for the silhouette of a satanic figure to pop up on the screen with flames engulfing the environment. If anyone dreams about being in the same place with their faces covered in blood like Heahmund's is in “Vikings” season 5 episode 15, they have every right to be afraid.
Meanwhile, the “Vikings” season 5 episode 15 teaser also suggest that it will center on King Alfred’s (Alfred Aethelwulfing) hesitation about the upcoming battle. He fears that they are deliberately sending their men to a fight that would kill them. Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) is with him to help him be resolved about sending their armies in the battle. “You need to find your courage or you’re not fit to wear that crown,” Ubbe challenges the King of Wessex.
Ubbe’s word may seem harsh but it obviously works for King Alfred. Despite his initial hesitations, he is going to lead his men to the battle in “Vikings” season 5 episode 15.
Heahmund’s vision of hell is definitely intriguing. But the “Vikings” season 5 episode 15 will feature a major battle that it could also be a proper time to kill off a character. Showrunner Michael Hirst specifically told ET earlier this year, “Season 5B is full of the most extraordinary twists and turns, and deep, deep emotional storylines, and we'll just ask you to wait until you see episode 15, which will just tear your heart apart and blow your socks off.”
Death of an important character definitely qualifies as a heart-tearing plot twist and, possibly, the right question to ask at this point is who will die next week? “Vikings” season 5 episode 15 is airing on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 9 p.m. ET on History.
