ARLINGTON, Va. , Oct. 11, 2017 -- ConnellyWorks, Inc., an independent agency offering public relations, marketing and events services, today announced the appointment of John Monroe as Director, Brand and Content Strategy. Monroe brings 24 years of experience in the public sector IT arena to the agency, including stints as editor of some of the largest and most influential publications in the market.
In this new role, Monroe will play a key part in developing marketing and content strategy for ConnellyWorks clients, guiding the creation of multi-channel experiences that drive brand and increase acquisition, retention and customer engagement. He is charged with working with the growing roster of ConnellyWorks clients on brand marketing strategy to provide strategic guidance on all things content and brand.

Monroe joins ConnellyWorks from 1105 Media, where he has spent the last 24 years in various positions across the company, including Editor-in-Chief and Custom Editorial Director of Federal Computer Week. He also played a role in some of 1105’s signature events, including The Federal 100.
