“Uncharted 4” is the last installment in the legendary franchise by “Naughty Dog,” but many fans are not yet ready to say goodbye to “Nathan Drake” and crew. Among the things that give them hope is the possibility of new missions in single player via downloadable content (DLC), but it seems fans will have to wait longer for that. The only thing getting an expansion is the multiplayer mode with more content to keep players shooting at each other.
As VentureBeat reports, “Naughty Dog” counts the number of online multiplayer participants at 1.8 million and counting. This is nowhere near what some other titles featuring or focusing on online multiplayer clock at, such as “Blizzard’s” “Overwatch,” but it is a pretty sizeable figure, nevertheless. As such, the developers are eager to keep their users as engaged as possible, which likely explains why the DLC that will be released is only for the multiplayer mode.
Along with the DLC, the game is also getting an update, and one of the most notable aspects of it is the level system, which evidently a lot of players found questionable. This is one of the points that “Naughty Dog” made in an official blog post.
“One of the most significant pieces of feedback we’ve received was that Uncharted 4 multiplayer did not release with a Level System,” the developers wrote. “We’re glad to say that we are addressing this in 1.08, which introduces a system that many of you will be familiar with.”
For those who have no interest in the multiplayer aspect of the game and would much rather go on more adventure with “Nathan” on single player mode, GamesRadar reports that this won’t happen for a while. Apparently, the developers didn’t work on a story mode DLC until after the game was release, and these things usually take months to complete and polish.
