Ubisoft is launching a new Tom Clancy’s game that will be announced on Monday. The game developer has yet to provide more details, including the game’s title, but fans hoping to see a new “Splinter Cell” installment may want to manage their expectations.
Where to watch Ubisoft’s announcement
It has not been that long since Ubisoft’s last event, but the video game developer and publisher confirmed it is hosting another showcase focused on a new game that will be part of its Tom Clancy-inspired IPs. Fans around the world can tune in on the presentation through the official Ubisoft channel on YouTube.
A placeholder for the new Tom Clancy’s game’s worldwide reveal is now live, and the premiere is set on Monday, July 19, at 11 a.m. PT / 8 p.m. CEST. Fans can click the “Set reminder” button on the video to receive a notification before the event starts.
What could be the new Tom Clancy’s game
For now, speculations run wild as to what the new game is going to be, but on several online platforms, it is not hard to see that many fans are hoping for the announcement to be about a new “Splinter Cell.” The series, despite being one of the most popular Tom Clancy franchises Ubisoft developed, did not have a new installment for the entire generation of PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately for “Splinter Cell” fans, Ubisoft’s Monday announcement might not be about the series.

We had a chance to see what it looks like up close, and we can’t wait to tell you more. Keep an eye out on @Ubisoft tomorrow, July 19 at 11:15am PT for the full reveal. pic.twitter.com/nZkZB8kKNf
While the new game’s official title is still under wraps, the image teasers Ubisoft has released so far do not seem to match the theme of “Splinter Cell.” An exclusive 25-second video teaser has been shared by IGN further supports that theory. The gameplay trailer shows that the new title will be a first-person shooter leading to comparisons with “Call of Duty.”
Fans also recall the rumors from last month that Ubisoft is working on a mash-up of Tom Clancy’s titles in a project called “BattleCat,” which leakers say would be a first-person shooter that will be released on PC and consoles. Based on the same leaks, BattleCat could feature the Fourth Echelon from “Splinter Cell: Blacklist,” the Wolves from “Ghost Recon: Breakpoint,” the Cleaners from “The Division,” and the Outcasts from “The Division 2.”
