U.S. under Trump Series: Trump’s exoneration in Mueller report puts him well ahead in 2020 race

Another four-year term coming.

• After almost two-years of special counsel investigations, the cloud hanging over the White House, popularly known as ‘Russia-gate’ where it was alleged that President Trump and his campaign allies colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 election, finally cleared.
• It was a great week for the President as first, it was announced that special counsel Robert Mueller concluded his investigations without any further indictments. Later U.S. Attorney General William Barr shared the summary of the report which shows that no American citizen colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 election though several efforts were made by the Russians. Russian denies any such allegation.
• The report also clears the President from allegations of obstruction of justice.

The outcome of the investigation, which has been the favorite talking points of U.S. mainstream media houses over the past two years, and favorite weapon to attack the President, makes Donald Trump much stronger in terms of re-election.

The report shows that the relentless attacks on him, his aides in the White House and his family over the past two years by the majority of the media were baseless and without any proof.

Looking back, one can easily notice the bias nature of the U.S. media, which not only justifies President Trump’s attack by calling them as fake news, it makes him favorite to win the 2020 election. With the relentless attack on the President, U.S. mainstream media has placed themselves as the main opposition instead of Democrats, and this week they lost badly.

If President Trump can win the 2016 election against all odds and with U.S. top administration officials working against him, he is set to do much better in the 2020 election, especially with these collusion clouds gone.
