It is now widely accepted that prepared Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has secured a win against Unprepared Republican Candidate Donald Trump in the first Presidential debate. Yet the Democratic strategists and politicians don’t feel so secure. The Presidential debate win hasn’t so far showed up in the polls. The ones, who favor Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, still continue to favor him. Trump supporters are basically disappointed to see a composed, controlled Trump, while the expectations were that the angry bull they have seen through the primaries would reap apart the establishment candidate Clinton. They are disheartened to see Trump taking a beating but not ready to give up support since they have seen hundreds of his interviews from the man and his consistent message throughout the campaign.
The Democrats are really worried that the Presidential debate won’t matter much to the thousands of people attending his speeches in the inner cities. They are waking up to the truth that a Trump supporter is very difficult to convert. African-Americans, who revolted against the Democratic establishments and have decided not to vote for Hillary, won’t also be easy to convert back. Since the debate, the polls have hardly changed. Donald Trump still has the momentum, maybe less than before but the tide hasn’t shifted in favor of Hillary.
If Donald Trump continues to perform well in the polls and the Democrats are in serious trouble.
