The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Venum have extended their global partnership for several more years.
The agreement between the French brand and the MMA entity comes ahead of the UFC's first event in France, which will take place on September 3rd at Paris' Accor Arena.
The brand will continue to design, manufacture, and distribute the promotion's performance apparel for the duration of the new contract, which is expected to be three years.
While not as large as the UFC's previous six-year, US$70 million contract with Reebok, Venum guaranteed fighters an increase in fees ranging from US$500 to US$2,000 depending on experience.
Tracey Bleczinski, UFC’s senior vice president of global consumer products, described Venum as an iconic combat sports brand that understands the unique needs of MMA athletes.
The UFC official added that the feedback on the Venum-designed fight kits and apparel's craftsmanship, style, and performance has been tremendous.
