Truth about Princess Anne taking over the crown, Prince Charles feeling ‘blindsided’ by shocking royal family betrayal

Princess Anne and Prince Charles are being pitted against each other.

Woman’s Day recently published a bogus report claiming that the tables have turned with regards to the order of succession to the throne. The tabloid claimed that Princess Anne has taken over the crown, and Prince Charles feels blindsided by the shocking decision.

A source said that as Queen Elizabeth and Princess Anne are getting older, they have become closer to each other. This is one of the reasons why Her Majesty decided to pass her crown to her only daughter.

“Last year, Charles seemed to realize he was in a precarious position – not only in the public’s eyes but mainly in his mother’s. Since then he’s mounted a full-on campaign to convince everyone he’s fit to be king, but he’s not sure he’s done quite enough to win his mother’s approval,” the source said.

The insider went on to say that Princess Anne, who is very competitive, would take whatever chance she could get to leapfrog Prince Charles. To make things worse for Prince William and Prince Harry’s dad, he is worried that Princess Anne is more popular than him, and he’s not also sure that the royal family would take his side on the issue.

However, it is best to take these claims with a grain of salt. It is unlikely for Princess Anne to take over the throne from Prince Charles because she is not in direct succession to it. The Queen doesn’t also have the power to change the order of succession even though she’s the monarch.

It may be true that Princess Anne is more popular than Prince Charles. Princess Royal is also more hardworking than her older brother. However, the Queen is not one to pick sides.

In the coming years, Prince Charles will definitely succeed his mother unless he passes away. The heir to the throne may also pass on the throne to Prince William shortly after he’s crowned as king if he is already old by then.
