SAN MATEO, Calif., July 25, 2017 -- Franklin Templeton Investments today announced the appointment of Tom Fisher as head of US Institutional. In this role, Fisher will oversee and provide strategic direction to the firm’s institutional sales, consultant relations and client relations teams in the US, reporting to Tom Regner, head of US Advisory Services for Franklin Templeton Investments.

In leading the firm’s US institutional business, Fisher will oversee a team of professionals based in San Mateo, CA, New York, NY and across the US. The appointment of a single head across institutional sales, consultant relations and client relations, provides the firm with an added resource dedicated to serving the firm’s US institutional business.

Fisher joins Franklin Templeton with over 20 years of financial services experience, with more than 15 of those years working directly in the institutional market. He was previously with JP Morgan Asset Management, most recently serving as managing director and head of the firm’s consultant strategy team, leading its consultant-intermediated sales and service across defined benefit, defined contribution, endowments and foundations, healthcare and insurance platform channels. Fisher holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.
