Tom Cruise Reportedly Can’t See Suri Cruise for Years, Here Are the Possible Reasons

Suri Cruise and his dad, Tom Cruise, were reported to have not seen each other for years. The last time that the 12-year-old was photographed with his father was in 2013 and this was after he and Katie Holmes announced their separation and divorce.

Prior to Tom and Katie’s unfortunate split, Suri Cruise was often pictured with her dad and they did almost everything together like attending parties and other A-List events around town. Even when the girl was still a toddler, Tom was always spotted carrying her in public.

This all changed when Katie Holmes confirmed the divorce. The “Mission Impossible” actor was never seen with his daughter again. Although there were claims that they have been meeting secretly, there is a reason why the actor is not seeing Suri.

Us Weekly claimed that Tom Cruise is allowed to meet Suri for a certain time in a month. He can see her for 10 days; however, he is not able to do so due to his religious beliefs.

“Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to,” a source told the magazine. “He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.”

Moreover, Katie is believed to have sole custody of Suri Cruise and this was part of her agreement with the 56-year-old actor. The known critic of the Church of Scientology Tony Ortega allegedly said that it is likely that the former “Dawson’s Creek” star had signed a nondisclosure agreement “saying she wouldn’t say anything bad about Scientology” in order to get the primary custody of Suri.

“She wanted to get away and she wanted to get Suri,” Ortega supposedly said.

In any case, Tom Cruise was reported to have been arranging secret meetings so he can reconnect with Suri. Radar Online reported that the young girl has been calling her dad and Tom was able to contact her through a third party. It was said that Tom wants Suri to know that he has been receiving her messages and that he has been thinking about her all this time so he is making an effort to meet her again. There is no confirmation for these claims, however.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got engaged and married in 2005. They welcomed Suri in 2006 and separated after almost six years together. The actress is in a relationship with Jamie Foxx now while the actor is believed to be single.
