SAN DIEGO, May 08, 2018 -- Cocaine is one of the oldest drugs known to man. The pure chemical hydrochloride has been abused for over 100 years and cocoa leaves, the source of cocaine have been ingested for over a thousand years. Smaller amounts are routinely seized by privately owned vehicles or couriers using buses or airlines to transport the drug. Never the less, no matter how hard the United States government tries to stop the transportation of illegal cocaine into the country there are still tons that make it onto our streets.
