It is close to a year since the development of “The Wolf Among Us 2” was announced. Now, reports are suggesting that developer Telltale Telltale Games could mark the milestone with another round of updates, including a release date window.
‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ major announcements happening soon?
The rumors about the “The Wolf Among Us 2” announcements were recently sparked by a post on Reddit claiming that Telltale Games will have a video presentation at The Game Awards 2020. It will reportedly provide some details on the progress of “The Wolf Among Us 2” development along with other information such as the concept behind the game’s art.
A specific release date is not expected, but the same video is said to contain the “release window” of the much-awaited sequel. That means fans might learn next week what year “The Wolf Among Us 2” would be launched. However, it is worth noting that the Reddit user who posted this report has since deleted their profile and also labeled the post as having “No source.” The post did not mention where the information came from, so fans should take this with a heavy amount of salt.
Meanwhile, fans may have found other reasons to believe that “The Wolf Among Us 2” announcements are on the horizon. Last week, the official Twitter page of Telltale Games jokingly complained about being constantly asked for “news they can’t answer yet.”

Another Reddit user suggested that this could be referring to the response that an earlier post about Black Friday deals got. Upon checking, the earlier tweet is filled with replies asking for “The Wolf Among Us 2” updates. Of course, the developer could have just ignored those questions but fans now think that the subtle recognition of the relentless questions about the upcoming game could be a teaser in itself.
When is The Game Awards 2020?
It should be noted that “The Wolf Among Us 2” was first announced at last year’s The Game Awards, so it makes sense it Telltale Games think it is fitting to release updates about the game in this year’s event as well. The only way to find if these rumors and speculations are accurate is by tuning on the Oscars of video games.
The Games Awards 2020 happens on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. ET. There will not be in-person attendance and everyone will have to “attend” virtually. Organizers have listed many streaming platforms from which gaming fans can watch the event.
