Telltale Games checked in with fans recently to let them know the studio is still working on “The Wolf Among Us 2” despite the year-long absence of updates and new teasers. The developer also suggested the possibility that the new episodes of the game could be released altogether.
‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ gameplay: Telltale Games confirm it’s still in the pipeline
Shortly before The Game Awards 2020 went live last Thursday, Telltale Games went ahead and informed fans they did not prepare any showcase for the game. The sequel was one of the highly anticipated presentations last week considering that the development of “The Wolf Among Us 2” was officially announced at the awards show last year.
“We know you’re excited to hear more about [TWAU2],” Telltale wrote in a statement. “And we look forward to telling you more when the time is right.”
While the developer did not provide any clue on when they are going to release new teasers or trailers for “The Wolf Among Us 2,” they did confirm that all episodes of the sequel are being developed at the same time. This corresponds with a recent leak that suggested all five episodes of the sequel could be released at the same time.

Telltale is popular for developing episodic graphic titles, which means the entire gameplay content is usually not launched at the same time. For example, the first game’s Episode 1 was the only playable content when it was released in October 2013. The follow-up episode was not released until February 2014 and the rest of the “The Wolf Among Us” episodes were released through July of the same year.

The developer also told fans that they have “more to do” before they can share more concrete updates about “The Wolf Among Us 2.” It is not clear yet what that means for the game’s release date, but the above-mentioned leak also shared an alleged teaser screenshot that cites “all episodes” would be released in “winter 2021.”
Technically, that could be sometime between late December to mid-March. Producing the entire season altogether does not necessarily mean “The Wolf Among Us 2” is years away from now, if any, that might explain why it took Telltale more than six years to announce a sequel.
