The isekai anime is based on Aneko Yusagi's “The Rising of the Shield Hero” light novel series, with drawings by Seira Minami, and Season 3 will adapt the Rebuilding arc and the Fallen Heroes arc, which are based on the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth volumes of the light novel series, respectively.
