One of the surefire ways for players to get ahead in “The Outer Worlds” is to arm themselves to the teeth. It’s not that hard to get those cool science weapons with their special effects if one knows where to look for.
Gloop Gun - Errors Unseen Side Mission
This is one cool weapon to have as the Gloop Gun as it can deal plasma damage to the enemies. There’s even a splashing effect slightly injures enemies in the vicinity and it also levitates the targets making it a lot easier for players to finish them off.
To get this science weapon, players need to take on the side mission on Monarch during the Errors Unseen, Screen Rant suggested. Clean out the marauders in the UDL Lab located in the southwest of Stellar Bay.
There is a terminal on the left and, with enough skill, it can be hacked to unlock the weapon. But if the player’s hacking skill is lacking, respond with “Protect the Chairman,” “Berate him relentlessly to defend the Chairman’s honor,” and “Arrest your spouse and admit your children to a reeducation program” when prompted.
Mind Control Ray - Space-Crime Continuum Side Mission
For this weapon, a bit of preparation is needed. Players need The SubLight Data which can be obtained from the NPC Duncan in Fallbrook Dry Goods and Supplies on Monarch. This quest item will point to where Cascadia is.
In the Space-Crime Continuum side mission for Lilya Hagen of the SubLight faction. To get the Mind Control Ray, go to the near the terminal, turn left then jump across to the platform before jumping once more to the platform located to the right.
There are two ladders there and the weapon can be found once players climb them. As its name suggests, the Mind Control Ray will turn the targeted enemy over to the players’ side, helping them deal with the other enemies.
Prismatic Hammer – Groundbreaker
The Prismatic Hammer is a good melee weapon as it deals damage while sending a shockwave to enemies nearby. Get the Battered Mardet Datapad from the NPC Gladys and access the hidden room located on the west side of the Groundbreaker.
Getting there takes a bit of work. Players need to climb on top of the bunks to look for a narrow door. Players will encounter some bandits but once they are dealt with the door can be unlocked to get to the hammer.
