‘The Originals’ season 4’s episode 7, titled "High Water and a Devil's Daughter," will follow Freya as she seeks to protect the family from the Hollow’s threat. However, she will find that her own life will be in danger as she comes face to face with the enemy.
The lengthy synopsis for "High Water and a Devil's Daughter" posted on TV Guide reads, “Freya (Riley Voelkel) places a protection spell on the compound when it's discovered that the Hollow's latest servant is on the loose, but it forces Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Hope to remain inside.
Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) takes matters into his own hands when Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) is reluctant to perform a dangerous ritual needed to strengthen their defense against the Hollow; and Freya enacts a risky plan that brings her face to face with their latest threat, but an unexpected twist leaves her life hanging in the balance.”
The upcoming episode will follow Freya as she does everything in her power to protect the compound from the Hollow’s threat after finding out that the Hollow’s servant is roaming free. The protection spell will force Klaus, Hayley, and Hope to stay within the safety of this spell.
According to Cartermatt, the upcoming installment will thrust Freya into the spotlight. It seems that episode 7 will be the character’s defining moment in the series. Freya is set to face the enemy herself but may find her own life in danger in the process. It will be interesting to see if anyone will somehow come to her aid.
Meanwhile, Elijah will also take matters into his own hands after Vincent expressed his reluctance to get involved. Vincent was supposed to perform a powerful yet risky spell that would increase their defenses against the Hollow. On Vincent’s end, he knows for certain that performing the spell could be a threat on his own life.
