‘The Magicians’ Season 2, Episode 4 Spoilers: “The Flying Forest" – Eliot, Margo Figure Out Next Steps as High King, Queen; Quentin Go on Mission with Penny

‘The Magicians’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “The Flying Forest," is set to follow Eliot and Margo as they figure out their next steps as the High King and Queen of Fillory. Meanwhile, Quentin and Penny go off on a mission of their own.

The brief synopsis for “The Flying Forest” posted on TV Guide reads, “Quentin (Jason Ralph) and Penny (Arjun Gupta) embark upon a quest; Margo (Summer Bishil) works on a way to help Eliot (Hale Appleman); and Julia (Stella Maeve) seeks out an old friend's help.”

Margo is set to work with Eliot to figure out what they have to do next as the new High King and Queen following Alice’s (Olivia Taylor Dudley) departure. It seems that they will have to go through some challenges considering the magical land of Fillory’s current state.

A sneak peak video of episode 4 hints that Beast’s death left a “power vacuum” in Fillory. The court tells Margo and Eliot that they are assuming both will be dead or insane soon enough and that they must take steps in subduing the beginnings of a rebellion in the realm. The court also reminds the High King and Queen that they need solutions for the problems posed by the common folk.

Margo then offers some suggestions saying, “Okay, well we talked about this. When someone drops a log in the public pool, you just send a kid with a net to fish it out.” Eliot chimes in saying that they must devote a statue of about a hundred feet high for their “fallen queen.” Margo orders everyone to leave the room so she could angrily call out Eliot on his idiotic schemes, while reminding him that Alice was not their friend.

Quentin and Penny will also be embarking on a risky mission of their own. In the promotional photographs posted on TV Fanatic, the two are seen encountering the mysterious White Lady. It would be interesting to see if the White Lady will be able to assist them in some way.

Meanwhile, Julia will be alone in her fight against Reynard the trickster god (Mackenzie Astin) now that Marina (Kacey Rohl) and the Beast (Charles Mesure) have met their demise. She will have to seek out the help of an old friend to figure out a way to defeat her menacing nemesis.

‘The Magicians’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “The Flying Forest," is scheduled to air on Syfy on February 15, 2017. It will be followed by episode 5, titled "Cheat Day," scheduled for February 22.
