“The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 8 is going to be an episode about patients more than they are about the doctors, which should be a nice change of pace. In this episode, Shaun (Freddie Highmore) will be forcing a patient to confess her infidelity to her husband after an accident. In addition, there will also be the part about parents who don’t believe in vaccines and how ridiculous the stance is.
In this promo clip of “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 8, it is revealed that Shaun will be dealing with a patient who seemed to have cheated on her husband. This was discovered after she had lost her baby following an accident. A pregnancy should not have been possible since the husband had a vasectomy.
“Dr. Shaun Murphy, Dr. Audrey Lim and Dr. Claire Brown’s E.R. patient is forced to reveal a secret to her husband after their treatment caused a complication. Meanwhile, Dr. Neil Melendez, Dr. Morgan Reznick and Dr. Alex Park struggle with a patient whose parents don’t believe in vaccinations,” the video’s description reads.
As the “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 8 promo clip’s description reveals, there will also be a case that involves anti-vaccination parents, which is widely considered by doctors to be a criminally dangerous movement. As CarterMatt notes, the subject of vaccination has been quite the divisive topic, but not at all with the same qualities.
On one side are a small number of celebrities and parents with absolutely no medical training and citing studies that have long since been debunked by the greater scientific community. On the other are trained medical professionals and researchers, and a significantly larger portion of society. With the subject of “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 8, there’s a good chance that the discussion could be sparked again when it airs on Nov. 19.
