While fans were still able to enjoy Kid Flash's (Keiynan Lonsdale) presence in the “The Flash” season 5 premiere episode, fans will have to brace for the possibility that the next few ones will not feature the younger speedster. It seems that Keiynan Lonsdale's awaited break from “The Flash” season 5 and “Legends of Tomorrow” is coming sooner than expected.
The Wally West actor has already expressed a desire to minimize his role in The CW's Arrowverse series in the past. Fans who follow Lonsdale's social media account would not be surprised about the upcoming Wally West break as the actor had posted on Instagram his reasons for wanting to minimize his Kid Flash time. The social media post came a few months prior to “The Flash” season 5's season premiere.
While Lonsdale may be looking towards his personal future, fans will be glad to know that Wally West will not totally disappear in “The Flash” season 5. Keiynan Lonsdale will simply be downgraded from a season regular to a guest star for the show's current season. But how exactly will Team Flash be separated from the not-so-active Wally West in its future episode?
Fans can probably expect Norra West-Allen's (Jessica Parker Kennedy) time-traveling shenanigans to potentially separate the team in “The Flash” season 5. This could give some more focus to members of Team Flash that are still series regulars. Hopefully, Lonsdale's West does not fall victim to Chris Klein's Cicada, who is already teased to be the end of Team Flash's Vibe (Carlos Valdes) in “The Flash” season 5 episode 3.
Fans looking forward to seeing how “The Flash” season 5 will continue its story with Wally West becoming a more background character can catch “The Flash” season 5's next episode when it airs on Oct. 16.
