“The Dragon Prince” season 3 is set to arrive and Netflix already revealed major details at the recent San Diego Comic-Con. The show panel appeared at the SDCC 2019 in July and fans were delighted by the amount of information that the animation’s execs had shared.
Netflix renewed “The Dragon Prince” season 3 back in March via an announcement that was posted on Twitter. Moreover, the renewal was also mentioned during the WonderCon event that took place in March in Anaheim, California.
Confirmed details to know
At the last SDCC, it was divulged that “The Dragon Prince” season 3 has been titled “Sun.” Though it was not explained extensively, this title suits well with the story arc for the upcoming new chapter.
The synopsis for “The Dragon Prince” season 3 was also previously released. As per shared on IGN, the plot summary reads: “Rayla and Callum finally at the cusp of entering Xadia, while young Ezran returns home to take his place on the throne. Meanwhile, Lord Viren begins to realize the influence and power of his new ally – the mysterious Startouch elf, Aaravos. As several storylines unfold in big ways, this season will be massively epic.”
The major scenes to look forward to in the third season
The viewers of “The Dragon Prince” season 3 will see these points in the new installment. First, Callum will explore all the magical abilities that he learned and acquired in the last two seasons.
Also, Gren and Amaya will dramatically reunite and Rayla’s backstory will also be featured so there will be lots of flashbacks. Further, Harrow is already dead and it will be revealed how the dragon egg survived through the decades.
Ezra is also going to be king as he decided that it is time for him to step up. Becoming the reigning king is the only way to help the people so he took the throne and was forced to mature so he can handle the responsibilities.
Release date
The premiere date of “The Dragon Prince” was not stated at the recent SDCC and even show creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond are not saying anything about it. However, Ehasz did say that it will be this year.
