“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 8 is finally coming after a 2-week hiatus. The delay made fans desperate to see what happens next since the last chapter revealed many intriguing finds like the tar paper, or at least that is what they think they found while digging in Smith’s Cove.

Aside from the tar paper, they uncovered more wood structures, but they do not know yet what these were used for and why they were put up there. In “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 8, it will also be shown to the viewers that they might have found timber wood too, but surely, this needs to be carbon-dated too just like what they did with the other wooden structures.

Episode 8 details

As shared by TV Spoilers, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 8 is called “First Look: Triptych,” but there is no synopsis yet. In this chapter, it is likely that they will show more details about the tar paper and if they forts underground were actually made by the early treasure hunters instead of the depositors of the treasure chest in the Money Pit.

Also, previews show that “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 8 is not just about the wooden structures anymore as they also discovered some rock formations that they think were part of the fort. However, the Lagina brothers and their team of experts need to do more research to know what they were used for. The team suspects that this could be the walls fo the water tunnel, and they got more convinced when water started to come out from the ditch.

The Oak Island mystery

The diggings on Oak Island has been going since the 1700s. Treasure hunters want to find the Money Pit believed to contain a chest full of gold and other valuables. None of the hunters succeeded yet, and today, Rick and Marty have resumed the diggings to unravel the truth about the 224-year-old mystery of the island and its fabled treasures.

In any case, the hunt for the golds and gems was also believed to have been cursed since the island already claimed seven lives. Most of the victims were part of the crew who were looking for the Money Pit.

“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 8 will be returning after the short break on Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. on History, as per TV Season Spoilers.
