“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 has finally returned and now on its third episode. Things are getting very exciting as the hunt for the treasure believed to have been buried there has yielded great finds that seem to indicate precious cargo really exists.

Rick and Marty Lagina together with their team of experts are trying to solve the 224-year-old mystery and with how their exploration is going, everyone is convinced they are on the right path. To get to the treasures, the team is using better equipment and applying advanced technology so they can reach the Money Pit in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7.

Did the team find a ship under the swamp?

“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 3 has been titled “The Eye of the Swamp” and as posted on TV Guide, its synopsis reads: “Gary detects a strange, stone structure embedded in the swamp and after years of searching and speculation, the Laginas get scientific proof that the swamp is young and likely man-made.”

In the finale of season 6, the team found an anomaly in the swamp. Underwaters, they detected something that they think could be a ship. If that is the case, they said it could be a 15th-century Spanish Galleon filled with gems and may have been deliberately sunken to conceal the treasures.

In the second episode of “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 titled “Core Values,” the Lagina brothers and their team investigate the swamp and their findings suggest that Fred Nolan’s theory that the swamp is man-made could be true. But the more they explore, it seems to get clearer that what they detected in the previous season is not a ship.

New theory with new discovery

It was suggested that rather than a vessel, they could be looking at a tunnel. This theory came up after soil samples taken at 57 feet down reveals dry clay. They also found some swages that could be from the 14th century, and this shifted the experts’ initial thoughts that a ship lies beneath the swamp. Rather, with the strange structure, they could be looking at a tunnel and now they must check this out “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 3.

“The Curse Of Oak Island” season 7 episode 3 will air on Nov. 19 at 9 p.m. on History.
