Given that it’s a show about hunting for treasure, it’s amazing that “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 is coming up and yet the cast has yet to find anything. The sixth season of this mystery-finding program has already been confirmed and from season one through five, their only success has been the discovery of a cross. Human remains seem to be in the mix, as well.
The search continues in “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6 for treasures that have yet to be found. The show’s producer Kevin Burns even recently said that the upcoming season would look into the supposed “medieval” cross that they found on the Canadian island, Otaku Art reports. The artifact is reportedly over 600 years old, which certainly makes it an astonishing find.
Even so, it’s not exactly the treasure that the entire show is supposed to be based on. Burns was quite eager to talk about possible ramifications of the find with an interview with Monsters and Critics earlier this year. The cross will be a point of interest in “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6.
“I think the cross that we found, which was extraordinary and we’re still doing testing on it — we can’t seem to find any evidence of a cross of that shape or construction that is any more recent than the 1300s or earlier,” Burns had said.
“In other words, some have dated it to as old as 900 AD, some have said 1300 AD, and if it is in that neighborhood, it could very well have been left behind by a Templar, and that might be some kind of evidence that they did come to North America years before Columbus. And, if they did, what did they bring and why?”
As of now, there is no set air date for “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 6. Fans will simply have to wait until the announcement.
