‘The Crown’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers: Series Recreates Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles's Romance

“The Crown” season 3 is probably the most exciting installment of the series since it is featuring the life stories of the most controversial members of the royal family. In particular, it was mentioned that Prince Charles’s romance with Camilla Parker Bowles is going to be highlighted when the series premieres.

The royalty-themed drama will show how the young Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles met for the first time. Subsequently, the focus will shift to the early days of their romantic liaison.

Likewise, the viewers can expect to see some of the most iconic moments in the history of the British royal family in “The Crown” season 3. In the episode that will delve into Prince Charles and Camilla’s relationship, the drama will recreate the scenes that the public already saw in pictures.

One such scene in “The Crown” season 3 is based on Charles and Camilla’s photo while they were having a small talk after the former’s polo game in 1975. With regards to the actress who will act as Camilla Parker-Bowles, there is no announcement from Netflix yet. However, leaked still photos confirm that it will be 33-year-old actress Emerald Fennell. As per Express, 28-year-old Josh O’Connor has been selected to play the young Prince Charles.

Prince Charles and Camilla first met in 1971 after a common friend introduced them to each other. They became lovers but the relationship abruptly ended in 1973 when the prince had to leave for the Royal Navy. The latter did not wait for her ex-flame to return and got married.

Prince Charles also eventually married Princess Diana but he went on to have an affair with Camilla. In any case, these are some of the controversial scenarios that will be part of “The Crown” season 3.

Radio Times reported that due to the reshuffling of the cast, the show was delayed. But nonetheless, “The Crown” season 3 is expected to premiere in 2019.
