Fans can expect “The Blacklist” season 7 episode 10 to keep them at the edge of their seats. Red will be racing against time to save Liz while it still remains to be seen just what Katarina plans to do with her daughter. Being the show’s fall finale, the upcoming episode is also expected to drop a few cliffhangers to keep fans guessing while it goes on hiatus.
The cat is finally out of the bag. While Liz had suspicions about their recently moved in neighbor, it was finally revealed that the sweet old lady is actually her mother Katarina Rastovaq in the previous “The Blacklist” episode, as reported by Meaww.com.
Despite her cover being blown, Katarina remained surprisingly confident and nonplussed. Even when Liz pulled out a gun and pointed it at her mother, Katarina even taunted her as if betting on the possibility that she would not be able to shoot her own mother.
Katarina’s ploy seemed to be working though. Liz’s hands can be seen shaking as the episode ended, which suggests that her determination to take down the former Russian spy is wavering.
Unfortunately, Liz’s hesitation might have dire consequences for her. In the brief “The Blacklist” season 7 episode 10 trailer, the tense confrontation continued but her mother quickly turned the situation around to her favor.
“Put the gun down,” a seemingly emotional Katarina urges Liz in the trailer. “Liz, please, we’ll be family again.”
However, Katarina’s act turned out to be just a distraction. Unknown to Liz, Rostovaq actually had a subordinate waiting for the right moment to make his entrance.
Just as Liz was distracted, a man suddenly appeared and knocked her unconscious. A small smile appeared on Katarina’s face revealing that it was her plan all along.
Thus, Liz’s will be at the hands of his mother in “The Blacklist” season 7 episode 10. One of the biggest questions that the upcoming installment will hopefully answer is just what Katarina plans to do to her daughter.
Meanwhile, Reddington and his team will be getting in touch with another blacklister as a means of tracking Katarina down, according to CarterMatt. If the former KGB agent has ill intent against Liz, the episode could show Red racing against time in an effort to save Liz from her mother.
“Red and the Task Force pay a visit to a former blacklister, as an explosive confrontation leads Liz to make a critical choice,” the episode’s synopsis reads. “Laila Robins, Brian Dennehy, Aida Turturro, Michael Cerveris, Rade Serbedzija, and Brett Cullen guest star.”
