Final Fantasy is not the easiest video game franchise to get into, even for those who have been fans of the series since the first one. Final Fantasy XV is such a departure from the old games that it’s worth taking the time to learn a little more about it in order to have the best start possible. The information found here contains no spoilers and will focus only on broad concepts to help new and old players get the most out of this wonderful title.
Kotaku put together a nifty list of things that players might want to keep in mind when starting FFXV, including the part about skipping the tutorial. As the publication notes, it can be tedious and doesn’t really offer much information that players can’t get anywhere else. Jumping right into the action will offer far better opportunities to get the hang of fighting, questing, and more than the tutorials.
Aside from skipping the pointless tutorials, it’s also worth noting that not all side quests are important as not all of them offer worthy benefits. On the other hand, using the long way to travel instead of fast traveling everywhere is highly advisable. There are so many things going on as the group drives using the car or riding on Chocobos that players might easily miss out on amazing sights or action.
Now, the fifteenth installment to this wonderful franchise isn’t exactly difficult, but some players might want to find ways to make their experience even easier. For this, Mashable came up with a list of tips that could make FFXV a breeze. These include an infinite stamina trick and to abuse both the camping features and the ability to warp to either the car or the last rest point.
Taking advantage of the experience boost from resting in hotels is also advised. The best one would have to be the hotel in Lestallum, where players can get a 1.5X experience boost for only 500 Gill a night.
