Monday night was pure “Bachelorette” TV moment gold when Rachel Lindsay kicked out one of the men who is vying for this season’s final rose. Demario, who was a promising contestant in this season’s reality dating competition, was found out to actually have a real-life girlfriend, Buzzfeed said.
It all started with Rachel’s second group date with Will, Jamey, Diggy, Alex, Adam, Lee, Matt, Eric, Josiah, and Demario. The group was surprised by legendary basketball player Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who taught a few tricks of his trade. But right after the guys’ basketball game, a woman named Lexi approached Rachel and revealed herself: she was Demario’s girlfriend of 7 months from home.
According to Lexi, Demario stopped answering her calls and texts after dating for several months, and “ghosted” on her. The last time she said Demario was on TV, when he was introduced as one of the contestants for this year’s “The Bachelorette.”
Lexi, who appeared legitimately angry at Demario, cautioned Rachel, "He’s lied to all of us. He literally still has the keys to my apartment."
When Rachel presented Demario to Lexi to give him an opportunity to explain himself, Demario said lie after lie that Rachel, having enough of it, declared she’s kicking him out of the competition, People.com said.
“I believe you want to be here, I just don’t think you want to be here for me. Let me tell you something: I’m not here to be played. I’m not here to be made a joke of, which is what I feel like you’re doing right now with me, so I’m really going to need you to get the f— out. I don’t like being f—ing embarrassed, and I can’t even look at you right now,” Rachel said to Demario.
However, the final scene showed a deflated Demario begging for host Chris Harrison to talk to Rachel.
