‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 is scheduled to premiere on November. Lead actor Tyler Posey admitted that he was prepared to say goodbye to the show, which premiered on MTV last June 2011. He is set to direct the 13th episode of season 6.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast of ‘Teen Wolf’ attended the EW PopFest in Los Angeles on October 30, 2016. When EW’s Samantha Highfill asked if Scott’s pack was “good now” in the incoming season, Posey replied, “Yeah, definitely. Everybody wants to help each other out. I mean, the pack is never really “good” because… otherwise, we wouldn’t have a tv show, you know? But their foundation and their core is always love for one another and wanting to protect each other so that’s always gonna be there. As of right now, they’re all really good.”
When asked about which season 6 episode they were all excited about, the cast members agreed that the 13th episode would be one to watch out for. Khylin Rhambo, who plays the openly gay character Mason Hewitt, “Tyler Posey is directing an episode… You guys are gonna love it.” Co-star Shelley Hennig, who plays Malia Tate, also expressed her excitement.
Posey admitted that although he loved acting, he always had a passion for directing. The 25-year old actor, musician, and producer plays lead protagonist Scott McCall, a Bitten Werewolf and the “True Alpha” of his own pack. Scott was bitten by alpha werewolf Peter Hale. At first, he was frightened of his superhuman abilities and attempted to cure himself but has since embraced his nature, using this to protect his friends and loved ones from supernatural threats.
He admitted that he was prepared to say goodbye as the series would end after its sixth season. Posey said, “It’s become such a second home to me… I would stay for hours after work. I spend more time with these people, 17 hours a day, six months out of the year, for seven years…I’m really gonna miss having that second home.”
Meanwhile, showrunner Jeff Davis teased that Dylan O’Brien’s Stiles Stilinski will play an important role in the incoming season. According to People.com, he said, “Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery revolves around him… We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.”
‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 is scheduled to premiere on MTV on November 15, 2016. The season premiere is entitled “Memory Lost.” Season 6 is composed of 20 episodes and was greenlit on the network last July 2015.
