‘Teen Wolf’ season 6’s episode 3, entitled “Sundowning”, will follow Scott, Lydia, and Malia as they continue to struggle with remembering Stiles. Meanwhile, ghost riders attack in the night.
The synopsis for “Sundowning” posted on IMDB reads, “While Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) search for Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and the others throw a party to keep Mason (Khylin Rhambo) safe from the Ghost Riders.”
The promo featured a menacing Ghost Rider making an appearance. He wreaks havoc and threatens to steal more people. In one scene, guests in a house party are attacked.
By the end of the scene, Scott realizes that he had an important person taken from his life while paying the Stilinskis a visit. Although he struggles to remember Stiles, he says, “I think that somebody was taken from us.” When asked who the person might be, Scott answers, “I think he was my friend. Maybe he was my best friend.”
Season 6’s premiere episode followed Stiles as he was taken by the Ghost Riders. Before the last bit of memory of his existence disappeared, he told Lydia to find a way to remember him. He also admitted that he loved her before he was taken.
Although Stiles’ friends are yet to realize that Stiles actually exists but was taken, they already began missing his presence. Meanwhile, Stiles’ mother recently came back from the dead and returned to Beacon Hills. It was speculated that she may hold the key to getting Stiles back.
During an interview with TV Line, executive producer Jeff Davis revealed, “We really wanted to show what Sheriff Stilinski’s life would be like without Stiles… A long time ago, we thought, ‘What if he loses Stiles, but gets something back in return? What if he gets his wife back? What does that mean? Where the f–k did she come from? How is this possible? That’s a big part of the mystery, and we have a lot of fun with it.”
Davis also teased that viewers will finally learn Stiles’ first name after Lydia receives the message “mischief.” He confirmed, “It’s a clue, it’s a definite clue…That word was not chosen randomly.”
