“Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans” is one of the most anticipated animated superhero crossovers. Fans have finally witnessed its official trailer recently that seemingly confirms they will get to watch in full this year.
The official trailer of “Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans” was released exclusively by IGN last Wednesday. “Teen Titans Go!” characters are preparing to face some fierce opponents in a duel. But as it turns out, they are set to fight the versions of themselves from the 2003 series “Teen Titans” which explains the fitting title of the film “Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans.”
The “Teen Titans Go!” appear excited to meet their “challengers,” but that is immediately replaced with confusion upon seeing their “older” selves on the other side of the arena. Robin, as expected, is the most competitive of them all seeing it as an opportunity to prove they are the best version of themselves compared to their “Teen Titans” counterparts from 2003.
However, the rivalry in “Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans” will have to be put on hold as the supervillain Trigon appears in the middle of the fight. Trigon declares that it is their mission to conquer all of the multiverses. This also means that the 2003 and 2013 versions of their nemeses will also appear in the film. It gives the superheroes more reasons to unite instead of continuing their fight.
Along with the release of “Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans” trailer, it was also confirmed that the original cast would reprise their roles. Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, and Hynden Walch star in the film as Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire, respectively.
“Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans” will arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray but the specific release date has yet to be announced. For the meantime, fans can continue watching “Teen Titans Go!” season 5 with episode 39 airing on Monday, July 1.
