If there is one thing about “Sword Art Online” Season 3 that distinguishes it from the first iteration of the show, it is the lack of more monsters to fight. The first season of the show was set in a fantasy RPG, so it only made sense that giant beasts would be a battle option. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 22 will hearken to those old days with the anime going all “Dark Souls” on Kirito and the gang.
As TheAnimeScrolls notes, Eugeo regained his memories in the previous episode thanks to Kirito’s efforts to reach him, and now they are a team again. Hurray for the “power of friendship” trope. Unfortunately for them, Chudelkin is not the kind of person to tolerate disobedience from anyone. That is why he will be pulling out quite the major card in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 22.
Called a Majin, the tottering clown of a character will use a giant flaming monster in an attempt to punish Kirito, Eugeo, and Alice. Titled “Titan of the Sword,” “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 22 might just see this new monster wielding a very big sword made of fire. If so, it’s fortunate that Kirito has plenty of experience in this kind of thing.
If the main character can pull off the same moves he has been using in his old days as the black swordsman, fighting the Majin should prove less troublesome than otherwise. The problem is with Alice and Eugeo who might not be as used to taking on large beasts regularly. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 22 will certainly be quite the baptism by fire.
For fans who simply can’t wait for “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 22 to air, they won’t have to be patient for much longer. The episode will drop on March 16.
