With the first episode of the new series leaving fans wanting more, anticipation for “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 is understandably building to a fever pitch. The fandom for the anime franchise has already sparked quite the movement online. However, who would have thought that it would lead to a game about the series coming to the Nintendo Switch?
In the first episode of the new “SAO” series, Kirito was stabbed with a syringe that contains a substance that is unknown, for now. It could be poison, considering that it was Johnny Black that attacked them, OtakuKart reports. However, it could be something far more sinister. Either way, fans will have to wait for “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 to air to find out the answer.
Could all of this be connected to Kirito’s work with the Rath Company? What exactly is he sacrificing every time he dives into the new “Full-Dive” technology that steals his memories after every session? With “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 being titled “The Demon Tree,” it would be safe to assume that this is going to be a rather dark episode.
Aside from “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2, however, fans can also rejoice to hear of another piece of good news. This comes in the form of “Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization,” which is a video game about the franchise that is coming to the Switch. Featuring actual gameplay footage of the title, fans can head over to Gematsu to see what this new game is all about. On that note, it’s worth pointing that the game is already available on other platforms.
“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 is scheduled to air on Oct. 14. Will Kirito survive whatever he was injected with, or will his life be at risk thanks to another case of video games being taken too far?
