Suri Cruise 2018: The Scientology Agreement that Might’ve Spooked Katie Holmes into Leaving Tom Cruise

Suri Cruise’s relationship with her father seems to have been eroded by time and all signs are pointing that the rift between these two will not be healed in the near future. This is especially true since the “Jack Reacher” star is still a firm believer and follower of the Church of Scientology.

While nothing has been publicly confirmed, it’s been heavily speculated that Tom Cruise’s strong connection with the organization is the reason he’s staying away from Suri Cruise. And this seems completely fine for Katie Holmes.

The “Dawson Creek” alum has been contented that Tom Cruise didn’t want to have anything to do with his daughter and she has managed to raise the child on her own. But even though the “Top Gun” actor doesn’t have a healthy connection with his ex-wife anymore, he still allegedly has some influence over her life and Suri Cruise. Specifically, the people that they can interact with.

Leah Remini, who is a former member of the organization, claims that the reason Katie Holmes hasn’t spoken against the Church of Scientology is that of an undisclosed agreement signed behind closed doors. “I assume they were forced to sign prohibitive documents," Remini said. "Trust me, Katie's not allowed to have a meal with me, and we used to be close friends. She could lose custody of Suri [Cruise]. It's quite sick, really.”

Over the years, Remini has been one of the most vocal critics of the organization and has revealed much about the activity of the inclusive group. Among them is the supposed practice of the church in signing children to a “billion-year” contract. In a nutshell, it is allegedly a binding agreement that forces a member to work for the organization for long periods of time. And this may be one of the reasons that forced Katie Holmes to break away from the church and protect Suri Cruise.

After all, Remini said that children who are offered the abovementioned contract are “encouraged to lie” to their parents that they’ve been recruited in this manner. There have been a lot of stories of former Church of Scientology members who have spoken about the agreement and came out of it broke and penniless. If Katie Holmes didn’t leave Tom Cruise all those years ago, there’s a possibility that Suri Cruise could’ve fallen on the same pit.
