Eleven and the others are set to return in “Stranger Things” season 4. Fans who were initially shocked at the presumed death of Hopper are also excited to see the sheriff back in action as it was already confirmed that he is alive.
However, based on the “Stranger Things” season 4 trailer, he is not well as he was being held captive somewhere in snow-covered Russia. In the video, he is in a camp where it seems that people were being forced to work as armed guards roam and watch over them.
New update from the Duffer brothers
In any case, rumors of cancellation have been going around and the show creators Matt and Ross Duffer stepped out to clarify these reports. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, they dismissed the speculations that “Stranger Things” season 4 is going to be the last in the series.
“Season 4 won’t be the end,” Ross told the publication. “We know what the end is and we know when it is. The coronavirus pandemic has given us time to look ahead and figure out what is best for the show.”
He added that the break due to the COVID-19 situation they were able to think and got a “better idea of how long we need to tell that story.” Then again, the Duffer brothers did not say until when their show will run.
Filming to resume very soon
The production of “Stranger Things” season 4 was halted in March when the coronavirus outbreak struck. It has been almost six months since the cast and crew have left the set so they were forced to alter the timetable for series. With the obvious delay, David Harbour who plays Hopper said that even if they go back to filming, they don’t really know what the future holds since the COVID-19 crisis is not yet over.
The good news is that it was recently revealed that “Stranger Things” season 4 is returning to film soon. It was reported that the resumption of production has been set for next month. The cast members were already informed about the filming so they are expected to be back on the set on Sept. 17.
Spoilers - What to expect
“Stranger Things” season 4 will take place in Russia, far from Hawkins. There is a theory that another facility that holds people like Eleven is in operation there. It is likely that these individuals who possess special abilities will be introduced and they will have to deal with the Upside Down again. Matt Ross also revealed that they may introduce new villains and characters to spice up the show.
