Fans have been anticipating “Steven Universe” season 6 for a long time. Even before the movie version was released, everyone was waiting for it since it is not yet renewed at that time.

But finally, there is nothing to worry about anymore as it was officially announced that the “Steven Universe” season is coming. The announcement was made by the show creator Rebecca Sugar during the New York Comic Con that was held in the first week of October.

The characters

Since “Steven Universe” season 6 is confirmed, Sugar and show’s panel who were present at the convention shared more details about the upcoming installment. Firstly, everyone will be reprising their roles, and the voice actors will remain the same.

“Steven Universe” season 6 will return with Zach Callison as Steven Universe, Deedee Magno-Hall as Pearl, Estelle as Garnet, Michaela Dietz as Amethyst, and Shelby Rabara as Peridot. At the NYCC, the said voice actors also surprised fans with their performances that showcased some of the series’ well-known songs.

What’s new in season 6?

When the sixth season of “Steven Universe” arrives, fans will see many changes. Some of the things that will be different this time around include the show’s opening song, title, and the opening scene. According to the Los Angeles Times, the new chapter will be called the “Steven Universe Future” since the story will be about Steven’s new life and moving forward to the future.

“After saving the universe, Steven is still at it, tying up every loose end,” the description of the plot summary reads. “But as he runs out of other people’s problems to solve, he’ll finally have to face his own.”

As for the song, “Steven Universe” season 6 will now use the official track of “Steven Universe: The Movie.” From the “We Are the Crystal Gems” that always play at the beginning of the show, it will be changed to “Happily Ever After, as per TV Guide.

Meanwhile, “Steven Universe” season 6 has no release date yet. The show is still in the pre-production phase, but it is likely that Rebecca Sugar and her team will be able to make an announcement some time next year.
