Fans are anticipating “Steven Universe” season 6 now that the fifth season is about to end. The last story titled “Battle of Heart and Mind” is set to air on Jan. 21, but will there be a follow-up after this?
According to Den of Geek, Cartoon Network seemed to have affirmed that “Steven Universe” season 6 is happening. However, it admitted that the network’s statement was a little vague. In a Twitter screenshot posted by the publication, someone asked if season 5 is going to be last, and the network replied in a negative.
The reply clearly stated that more is coming after the fifth installment. But, since there is no other detail provided, fans can’t help but wonder if “Steven Universe” season 6 is coming and, if it will, when will it be released? Some people are guessing that since the “Steven Universe” movie is currently in the works. Perhaps, the show will continue once the film premiered.
Then again, the series is known for its very long hiatus that the breaks even occur between episodes instead of the seasons. Thus, it is likely that “Steven Universe” season 6 will arrive after a long time. So, fans have to be patient and wait again for months.
While everyone waits for the official announcement regarding “Steven Universe” season 6, avid viewers of the show should focus on season 5’s finale first. As EconoTimes previously mentioned, the series will conclude with 1-hour special that will consist of episodes 29 to 32.
Meanwhile, it was initially thought that the 25th episode in season 5 was the last, but apparently, there will be more episodes to conclude the Diamond Days arc. “Steven Universe” season 6 is up next, but the official word from Cartoon Network is still needed for actual confirmation.
