“Steven Universe” season 6 is coming and fans do not have to wait longer for the animated series to arrive. This is really good news for everyone because it has been a while since the last episode aired.
The “Steven Universe” movie was also announced during the San Diego Comic-Con last July and it was believed that the film would be released first before “Steven Universe” season 6 comes. However, it seems that this is not the case as the sixth installment is already here.
As per Cartoon Network, the latest season is titled “Steven Universe: Diamond Days” and it will about how Steven and the Gems rebelled against the Homeworld. It was added that this will also be the time when Steven will return to Earth after successfully stopping the Diamonds' attack on the Planet.
In any case, the official synopsis for “Steven Universe” season 6 reads, "5000 years after a great war of Gems, gemstone-like beings from a planet called Homeworld, we meet Steven, a half boy half gem who lives with the "Crystal Gems" Garnet, Amythest, and Pearl, who live on earth after they rebelled against Homeworld."
What’s more, the first five episodes for “Steven Universe” season 6 was also released. As shared on TV Season and Spoilers, here they are Episode 1 – “Legs From Here to Homeworld,” Episode 2 - “Familiar,” Episode 3 – “Together Alone,” Episode 4 – “Escapism” and Episode 5 – “Steven Universe: Battle of Heart and Mind.”
“Steven Universe” season 6 will premiere on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network. The series will continue every Monday at the same time and it will end in the first week of January 2019 with an hour-long final episode.
Meanwhile, fans should still watch out for the announcement for “Steven Universe Movie.” Rebecca Sugar already shared its first trailer so it should be arriving next year.
