Starbucks Japan is gearing up to celebrate the arrival of Sakura season with an array of captivating offerings at their flagship branch, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo.
Located alongside the picturesque Megurogawa River, this multi-story coffeehouse has become a must-visit destination during hanami, the traditional Japanese custom of cherry blossom viewing.
A Visual Feast for the Senses
SoraNews24 revealed that as you approach the Reserve Roastery Tokyo, you'll be greeted by a mesmerizing Yozakura ("Nighttime Sakura") Light-up. Once the sun sets on February 15, the upper exterior of the building will be bathed in a soft cherry blossom-pink glow, creating a truly enchanting sight. Step inside and discover a world of delectable sakura-inspired treats and beverages.
Make your way to the third-floor Arriviamo bar, where you can savor a selection of unique alcoholic beverages crafted with a touch of Japanese flair. Meanwhile, Starbucks has installed a captivating Sakura Bottle Tower art installation on the fourth floor featuring preserved Sakura tree branches.
These artistic additions further enhance the ambiance of the Roastery, immersing visitors in the beauty of Sakura.
A Celebration of Hanami
From February 15, visitors can partake in the Hanami Dango Frappuccino, a famous Japanese sweet, a delightful beverage inspired by tricolor Dangos. Additionally, the Hanami Sakura Cream drink evokes the image of blooming Sakura. These seasonal offerings perfectly capture the essence of hanami, allowing customers to cheer to Sakura in the company of friends and loved ones.
A Blossoming Experience
According to a press release, this year's Sakura Series concept is "CHEERS to SAKURA," paying homage to the cherished tradition of hanami. As Starbucks customers eagerly anticipate the return of Sakura AR, an augmented reality feature, they can look forward to three new pieces of AR content, including an interactive Bearista that can perform adorable dances.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of Sakura AR, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
