After months of speculating on who sold Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams) out to the FBI, Suits fans can finally rejoice for the second half of season 5 of the legal drama series will air starting January 27.
The show left off with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) resigning from Pearson Specter Litt, and Mike getting arrested for conspiracy to commit fraud. Although there are still several storylines to be told, the main focus would be on who snitched on Mike and revealed his secret. One thing we can be sure of is that “it wasn’t one of the main six characters”, according to executive producer and creator Aaron Korsh.
Korsh’s revelation is sort of a given since none of them would gain anything from outing Mike to the authorities. On the contrary it would be a big blow to their glorious careers and could be the downfall of the prestigious law firm Pearson Specter Litt. This can be confirmed in a latest promo where Jessica, Harvey, Louis, Donna and Rachel are all scrambling to save Mike, their careers and the firm.
On another released promo Mike is seen being processed in jail while a voice on the background that of Assistant District Attorney Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) vows that she will keep Mike in jail and let him pay for his actions. We know for sure that the law would be tough on Mike on the upcoming episodes but the question still lingers: who snitched on Mike Ross? Was it his ex-bestfriend Trevor, former lover Claire or childhood mentor and confidant Father Parker?Suits will return with 11th episode “Blowback” on January 27, Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
