“Spider-Man: Far From Home” is the sequel to the first movie in the rebooted franchise called “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which was amazingly well-received. Taking to social media, Tom Holland revealed that filming for the movie has finally wrapped. This means that there is only the post-production editing and marketing left before the superhero flick is ready to hit theatres.
The British actor who plays Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” recently posted on Instagram, which includes a photo of him in his Spider-Man costume and Zendaya. The post also came with the caption that reads, “THATS A WRAP,” which fans and publications are taking to mean that the stars are done with shooting.
Of course, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is still a long way off from releasing on theatres, so this news isn’t really all that significant in the grand scheme of things. Even so, it should come as a relief to fans of the franchise to know that it is at least ready to go when the time comes. What’s more, this window also provides more attentive nerds with the opportunity to scrutinize every tidbit about the movie.
As Metro points out, for example, many are of the opinion that the new Spider-Man costume used in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” might be based on some unused Humberto Ramos concept art. Unfortunately, very little is known about this new superhero film, except for the fact that it will be set in Europe.
The timeline for the movie is also not clear since those who watched the recently released “Avengers 4” movie will already know that Peter Parker did not survive the purging done by Thanos. It’s likely, therefore, that “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is set before the events of that movie.
Whatever the case may be, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is set to premiere on July 5, 2019. Now that the movie is done filming, there shouldn’t be any reason for that date to change.
