Rumors about the Korean power couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo getting a divorce started gaining traction on the web recently due to the actress deleting photos on Instagram. The whispers originated from Chinese microblogging site, Weibo.
In an attempt to explain the removal, a long-time fan of Song Hye Kyo explained that this is not unusual behavior for the actress. Apparently, the “Descendant of the Sun” star would take down photos on her Instagram account from time to time, possibly to keep her personal life relatively private. There’s also the fact that she’s still keeping photos with Song Joong Ki including the one they got for their wedding.
So to clarify, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are not getting a divorce and no signs are pointing towards fighting behind closed doors. As of now, the pair are enjoying marital bliss while trying to juggle their respective professional projects.
Song Hye Kyo recently spoke with Elle magazine and revealed some of her plans moving forward. The actress said that she’s interested in working with director Wong Kar-Wai again, the man who spearheaded her film “The Grandmaster.” Song Joong Ki, on the other hand, is gearing up to headline the fantasy series “Asadal Chronicles.”
As of now, no release date has been announced for the series but speculation points that it will air in the first half of 2019. Song Joong Ki is also rumored to star the sequel of “Train to Busan,” the Korean zombie thriller that proved a massive worldwide hit. While the actor has been largely successful with the career he’s chosen, him becoming a movie star wasn’t apparent when he was a kid as revealed by rapper Reddy. For her part, Song Hye Kyo said in the Elle interview that she has yet to overcome her nervousness when she’s starting a new project.
“I’m constantly feeling nervous and excited when I start new projects. For every project, the last day of filming is the only time I can praise myself. It’s to say, ‘You’ve finished another one, you did well,’” Song Hye Kyo said. Although the actress feels this way, Song Joong Ki is always there to support her with her endeavors and vowed to watch any movie or series that she will star in.
