‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 4, titled “The People vs. Ichabod Crane," is set to feature the team as they battle a monster unleashing havoc in Washington D.C. The monster has the power to make its victim relieve painful memories. Meanwhile, Ichabod is set to face his son Henry in court as he is forced to relive the past.
The synopsis for “The People vs. Ichabod Crane" posted on TV Guide states, “Washington, D.C., is menaced by a monster that haunts its victims with their painful memories and experiences, forcing the team to look for salvation in their own weaknesses. Meanwhile, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) forges an unlikely alliance that could save the planet.”
Episode 4 will follow the team as they fight off a frightening new monster, whose power makes victims live out their most personal and painful memories. This will prompt the team to use their weaknesses to rescue one of their own.
It seems that Ichabod (Tom Mison) will stand in trial in what may be one of his most disturbing memories. John Noble is set to return as Ichabod and Katrina’s (Katia Winter) son Henry Parish as teased by episode 4’s promo. Jenny and the team will have to race against time to figure out a way to save Ichabod from the new monster that threatens to destroy his psyche.
In the promo, Ichabod meets Henry face to face as the latter greets him with a smirk on his face. Henry says, “Hello, Father.” According to International Business Times, Henry may torment Ichabod in the courtroom and unleash shocking revelations. Ichabod is also seen with a noose around his neck while Jenny and Diana (Janina Gavankar) battle the monster in a cave.
Henry emerged as one of the series’ most heinous antagonists and served as the main villain in season 2. He is otherwise known as the Horseman of War, the second Horseman of the Apocalypse, after making a deal with the demon Moloch. The character was first introduced in season 1’s sixth episode, titled “The Sin Eater.”
‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 4, titled “The People vs. Ichabod Crane," is expected to air on Fox on January 27, 2017. It will be followed by episode 5, titled "Blood from a Stone," scheduled for February 3 and written by Theo Travers.
