“Shameless” Season 10 will be sailing through unchartered territories as Fiona will not be spearheading the series following Emmy Rossum’s exit in the previous finale. As such, it would be up to the rest of the cast to fill the void that Fiona left behind, CheatSheet reported.
And it’s a pretty big void. One of the major questions asked by fans is who will step up and take care of the Gallagher household in “Shameless” Season 10?
The most obvious choice is Lip (Jeremy Allen) as Fiona entrusted him to watch over Frank (William H. Macy) and the rest of their younger siblings. With Tami (Kate Miner) pregnant and the responsibility of the household falling on his shoulders, it’s looking like “Shameless” Season 10 will have Lip undergo massive character development.
Of course, seeing how Lip has been written, he certainly has all the potential to carry this load as he’s been portrayed as a genius who simply lacks motivation. Hopefully, “Shameless” Season 10 could bring out Lip’s full potential as he’s been wasting it for years, settling for mediocrity rather than excellence.
Miner herself will also carry more load in the tenth installment has she’s been promoted to series regular after it’s been revealed that her character is pregnant, THR reported. Lip’s transformation in “Shameless” Season 10 has already been kickstarted by the previous finale when it was shown that he’s worried about Tami and their first born. The troubled Gallagher asked Kevin (Steve Howey) for advice about what he should be doing moving forward and expressed his doubts about his capacity of becoming a worthy father.
Kevin replied that if Lip simply loves Tami and their child, then it would be impossible for him to screw things over. “You think you can do that?” asked Kevin. Lip replied that he could, with his demeanor transitioning from doubtful to being resolute. Regarding the release date of “Shameless” Season 10, it’s been slated to drop in late 2019.
