‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 5, titled “Sweet Caroline,” will follow Harlee as she is framed by the Mafia for the murder of a young girl. Meanwhile, Wozniak will struggle to keep his team together after evidence of an old crime emerges.
The synopsis for “Sweet Caroline” posted on TV Guide reads, “The Mafia seeks revenge on Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) by framing her for murder; Wozniak (Ray Liotta) fights to keep his cop family together when evidence of an old crime puts pressure on the already splintering team;
and Stahl (Warren Kole) cozies up to Cristina (Sarah Jeffery) and gets closer to the truth about Miguel (Antonio Jaramillo).”
Things will get more complicated for Harlee as she is framed for murder by none other than the Mafia. The promo hinted that the upcoming episode will feature Harlee and Wozniak working together on an investigation on a young teenager, who was shot to death. By the end of the promo, Harlee discovers that the gun used was her own.
According to Christian Post, the Mafia will frame Harlee for the murder out of revenge. They will attempt to make her appear as a dirty cop and tarnish her reputation further. It will be interesting to see how Harlee manages to clear her name.
On the other hand, Wozniak will struggle to keep his already disintegrating cop team together after evidence of an old crime resurfaces.
Season 3 of the crime-drama television series has already been renewed on NBC, according to Entertainment Weekly. NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke made the announcement last March 17.
Salke said, “We’re so hugely appreciative of everything Jennifer (Lopez) and Ray (Liotta) do, and know it is due to their dedication, as well as the hard work of our incredible cast and producers, that Shades of Blue has so clearly and compellingly earned a third-season renewal.”
She added, “This show continues to mine powerful stories that always leave us hungry for more.”
‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 5, titled “Sweet Caroline,” is scheduled to air on NBC on April 2, 2017. It will be followed by episode 6, titled “Fracture,” scheduled to be released on April 9.
