‘Scream’ season 2’s episode 4 will find Keiran’s surprise birthday party turning into a nightmare as the Lakewood Six learn about Jake’s death. The new killer may also be revealing himself to the public in the upcoming episode.
The synopsis posted on Carter Matt stated, “Brooke is worried by Jake’s disappearance until a gift from him arrives for Kieran’s birthday party; and the Lakewood Six explore their subconscious minds.”
An article by Australia Network News suggested that the new episode’s title pays homage to a 1981 slasher film of the same name. The cult film was directed by J. Lee Thompson and starred Melissa Sue Anderson, Glenn Ford, Lawrence Dane, and Sharon Acker. It is known for its bizarre murder scenes and disturbing climactic revelation.
Episode 4’s promo opened to Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) greeted with a surprise party for his birthday. Everything seems to be going along quite well until Brooke (Carlson Young) receives a card with the words, “Pricey birthday bottle from south of the border. Shots are on me.”
It was signed by an already deceased Jake (Tom Maden). This makes Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) do a double-take, “Did you just say Jake?” It seems that the present sent over made everyone who took it experience hallucinations.
Audrey tells the partygoers to stay in the house after realizing that the killer is nearby. She is the only one who knows about the murders but couldn’t say anything without the risk of being framed. Towards the end of the promo, Emma is seen being attacked in the woods.
In the preceding episodes, Audrey finds Jake’s body in an abandoned warehouse and flees after receiving a threatening call from the murderer. It seems that she has become the killer’s prime target for a twisted game of cat and mouse.
The promo also suggested that the Lakewood Six will finally learn about Jake’s death and that the killer may finally reveal himself to the public.
‘Scream’ season 2’s episode 4 is scheduled to premiere on June 20 on MTV.
