Earlier this year a Samsung official was quoted saying that “the commercialization of foldable smartphones will be possible in 2016”.
Moreover, a report by SamMobile said, “This smartphone is codenamed Project Valley (it’s also called Project V) and is in extremely early stages of development, and its ambitious nature means it might even be terminated at any time, something that happens with a lot of such projects.”
Now, a leakster on Weibo claims to have in-depth knowledge of the venture, dubbed Project Valley (aka Project V).
The company is reportedly testing both Snapdragon 620 and 820 for the phone. However, it is unclear if that's for two separate versions of the phone or just looking for the most suitable chipset. Regardless, it is said to have 3GB of RAM.
Describing further specifications, GSMARENA says that the smarphone will have non-removable battery, a microSD slot, OLED screen (as there are no bendy LCDs).
Samsung might unveil the Project Valley in January next year.
