Samsung Electronics Co. will release its low noise land compactly design mini refrigerators in South Korea later this month as it aims to boost home appliance sales during the pandemic-induced stay-at-home trend.
Samsung applied the Peltier semiconductor cooling solution instead of compressor-based technology to achieve a low noise level and a compact design, allowing it to be placed comfortably in any room.
Dubbed the BESPOKE Cube, it will be sold at prices ranging from 599,000 won to 649,000 won.
The latest small refrigerator lineup offers three basic models: Multi for various items, Wine & Beer for alcohol beverages, and Beauty & Health for cosmetics and nutritious foods.
The mini refrigerators also support Samsung's internet of things (IoT) platform, SmartThings, allowing users to control temperatures and check products on their mobile devices.
It comes in five colors -- white, charcoal, pink, fern green and sky blue.
