Quite a lot of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S10 have been circulating on the web. Among the most recent to pop up include indications of a new fingerprint-scanning technology. More concrete details from Samsung itself reveals that the upcoming device could feature a new 8GB chip. This could make the Samsung Galaxy S10 the fastest smartphone on the market once it comes out.
As BGR recently noted, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is not exactly dominating the market in terms of sales and the Note 9 isn’t generating that much buzz either. This is why rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S10 with its supposed exciting new features have been flying around so much. Tech fans would much rather speculate on what the upcoming device can offer than look into the boring features of the existing ones.
In any case, among the speculated features that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will supposedly come with is an in-display fingerprint sensor. At least, this is what an insider named Ice Universe recently revealed via Weibo. What would make this particular sensor special, however, is that it apparently won’t be optical. Rather, it would supposedly make use of ultrasound technology for reading fingerprints.
Moving on from vague rumors, Samsung also recently revealed that it created an 8GB chip for its mobile handsets, The Independent reports. This could potentially pave the way for 5G mobile connectivity beyond what any other smartphone manufacturer is capable of providing right now. As such, if the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 were to be equipped with it, it would be the fastest one on the market.
None of these details have been confirmed by Samsung and more concrete evidence is still required to make a more definite conclusion as to their authenticity. For now, however, it’s clear that excitement for the Samsung Galaxy S10 appears to be trumping the enthusiasm for the company’s existing lineup of devices.
