Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have started filming for “Outlander” season 5 so the two lead actors are busy. But aside from this, it was revealed that the latter has a couple of other projects and she working on them at the same time!
Caitriona Balfe is truly busy these days but she is happy because, with the projects, she is closer to achieving her goals. According to the Irish Times, Sam Heughan’s leading lady has been writing and once done, she wants to be its director too.
As a start, Caitriona Balfe, along with Sam Heughan, has been promoted as a producer for “Outlander” season 5. The actress is actually writing for two separate projects and while she is solo in one of the tasks, she is working with a friend on the other.
"The goal would be to at least try directing once and see if I'm any good,” the actress said. “And that's partly one of the projects that I'm writing - the goal is to direct that myself."
On the other hand, as Caitriona Balfe, works hard, Sam Heughan is currently looking for a date. Yes, the actor and now producer to “Outlander” season 5 is in search for a date but it is not what you think because it is for a good cause.
Sam Heughan teamed up with Omaze for his “My Peak Challenge” project that will benefit two causes and they are the Marie Curie and Bloodwise. It is a contest where donors have a chance to be picked as Sam Heughan’s date for a night in Scotland.
The lucky donor will be able to enjoy a romantic night with Caitriona Balfe’s “Outlander” co-star and would be his date at the My Peak Challenge Gala as well. Tickets, accommodation, food and everything are on Sam Heughan’s so all that the winner has to do is come to Scotland.
Sam Heughan started the project last year and entries were accepted until Feb. 21. However, no one knows who will be his date yet as it will be announced next month.
Meanwhile, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are set to return as Claire and Jamie Fraser via “Outlander” season 5 which is expected to air in late 2019 or early 2020.
